Dabie Mountain San Stone Temple Village: Bringing a ray of warm sunshine to the elderly this autumn and winter

On the morning of October 1st, a small team full of care and blessings embarked on a journey to San Stone Temple Village in Dabie Mountain. Here, many elderly people live alone; some have physical disabilities that prevent them from going out, while others face challenges due to limited economic conditions as the cold season approaches. After learning about this situation, the Shanghai Lingkeng Charity Foundation thoughtfully prepared warm cotton clothing and essential living supplies, such as grains and oils, to ensure that every eligible elderly person could receive this heartfelt gift.

On that day, all the elderly friends who were able to move were invited to the elderly activity center in the village. The atmosphere on site was lively yet orderly, with volunteers warmly welcoming each arriving elderly person and assisting them in receiving the items they needed. After the elderly received their cotton-padded clothes and grains, their faces were filled with happy smiles.

For elderly people who have mobility difficulties or are of advanced age, the foundation has specially arranged for the delivery of supplies to their homes. Additionally, for elderly individuals with limited financial means, a special consolation fund has been prepared. Volunteers personally deliver each package of supplies to the homes of the elderly, not only allowing these senior citizens to feel the care of society, but also avoiding the inconvenience that could arise from traveling.

Immediately following October 2nd, the members of the foundation hurried to the Xiangtian Nursing Home located in Shucheng County. Here, we not only brought soft and comfortable quilts, but also specially selected a batch of local specialty pastries as holiday gifts. We hope that through these small gestures, elderly friends who are away from their loved ones will feel the warmth of a big family in society.

During the event, the most unforgettable moment was seeing the radiant smiles on the faces of everyone who received gifts. 'Thank you for visiting us,' was the phrase most frequently heard by the staff. At that moment, all the fatigue seemed to dissipate because of this expression of gratitude.

Through the series of public welfare activities during this National Day period, the Lingkeng Charity Foundation has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting the construction of a harmonious society.
